Fans can now stream “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” on Disney+, but before that, it made history as the first Marvel film that remained in the theaters for many months before getting on the streaming network.
“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” was released in November 2022 with a storyline that paid tribute to the deceased superhero, Chadwick Boseman.
The actor died at age 43, years after battling cancer in silence. Interestingly, the second Black Panther installation shows how the Wakanda citizens handle life in the absence of their beloved monarch.
King T’Challa, aka the Black Panther, died (this was Boseman’s role), and to honor him, they created the story. But this new plot included a rare twist, other Marvel superheroes were introduced as key players, including Dominique Thorne’s Ironheart.
Expectedly, all hands were on deck with every cast member playing their role to the letter and bringing to life the fictional city of Wakanda.
Many are convinced it was a box office hit, especially with the high ratings, and it has stayed in the theater for days. But the wait is over, and fans can now watch “Black Panther” on Disney+.

“Black Panther” on Disney+
“Black Panther” on Disney+ is giving families the chance to see it from the comfort of their homes. The Marvel superhero flick viewing time began quite early.
In the early hours of Wednesday morning, “Black Panther” on Disney+ became available. For now, fans are warming up to have the time of their lives viewing the blockbuster.
However, not having the Marvel movie on Disney+ before now has begged the question of how long before another Marvel film gets on the app.
But sources have it that this would be the longest wait —already is. Previous films like “Doctor Strange” and “Thor” took 47 and 62 days respectively.
How Much Has the Movie Achieved?
Quite a lot, even as a Black-dominated film, including Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, and Danai Gurira. Also, apart from the rich cast, it has gained a lot due recognition.
“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” scored two Golden Globes nominations with Bassett taking home a win for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role.
The Marvel film also has five Oscar nominations, but that’s not the only incredible news. At the box office, it grossed over $800 million, worldwide.
