Whichever way you slice it, racism is always a terrible look. Not only does it cause severe psychological trauma, but its existence and proliferation within modern society strips ethnic minorities of their basic fundamental right of equality. With that in mind, a racist man was caught on camera chasing and harassing a Black woman in Seattle, Washington state recently. The shocking video is circulating online right now.
The incident reportedly occurred at around 8:30pm last night, according to the description on Reddit, and is accompanied by the caption, “Man chases Black woman in Fremont, calls her the N-word, and tells her to “go back to Tacoma”“. Additionally, the description on Reddit reveals that the incident happened “near Fremont Brewing”, which is located in the city of Seattle.
Specifically, the footage takes place at night and sees a drunk man sporting a black and white cap, a blue hoodie, and blue jeans chasing and harassing a Black woman on the street. The initial exchange between the pair is sped up a little bit, though you do see the man giving the woman the middle-finger. Once it slows down, you can clearly hear the racist man’s hateful tirade. “Er, go back to Tacoma, where you belong, you f*cking n*gger! N*gger! N*GGER!” yells the man as he drunkenly stumbles to and fro.
While the shocking clip continues to garner attention online, netizens took to the comments to criticise the racist man’s xenophobic diatribe. One Redditor wrote, “lol dude could barely keep himself upright. Liquid courage these days means โIโm drunk enough to reveal my true persona with no f*cks to give!โ” while another joked about how the man appears to be “flying low” as his fly zipper is down, penning, “Psst, hey buddy the barn doors wide open. I just hope the snake doesn’t sneak out…..” Meanwhile, another commenter asked why the man wanted the woman to go back to “Tacoma”, specifically, so one local explained, “It’s the poorer sister city (to Seattle) where people can maybe afford to live. Think Oakland.” In other words, it was meant as an insult, which is unsurprising when you stop and think about it.
