There’s nothing worse than a person who does things to harm children. Even if it’s done in a way that seems unintentional, that doesn’t make it okay. One Washington woman didn’t like how a “racist Kevin” treated her sister when they were out swimming on Lake Stevens. She decided to throw down and speak out against the people who tried to cause her sister harm. Then, when others became involved, she decided to say something to them as well.
Meki Olive (@mekdamack on TikTok) shared a video of a confrontation she had at a North Washington lake. Meki was swimming with her younger sister when trouble arose. Boats started to drive through the area and the currents got stronger. Because of this, Meki’s sister tried to grab onto a ladder at one of the docks. She didn’t realize that it was a personal ladder that a white family was using. Her sister pleaded, “Please, I can’t breathe!” as the water levels rose in the area. The white man holding the ladder said, “No, go around” and Meki had to jump in and save her sister. However, Meki noted that the racist Kevin was allowing all the white kids to use the ladder before he pulled it up.
Because of this incident, Meki decided to confront the racist Kevin about his actions. You can hear her saying to the man, “F**k you and your ladder, b***h.” She then walks up to a white woman and says, “And you! Shut the f**k up if it’s not your f*****g business, okay?” Apparently, as Meki was saving her sister from drowning, the white woman had something to say. She said, and I quote, “Well YOU people shouldn’t be swimming here.” Meki gives them all an earful that they’re sure to never forget. Hopefully, she made them think a little about their actions. But truthfully, they probably don’t care because that’s how racist people will always be.
Commenters were on Meki’s side because who allows children to potentially drown besides someone who’s evil? “Finally someone who don’t play!!” exclaimed one commenter. Another pointed out, “And even with swimming lessons you can still get exhausted in the water. To deny a child safety says a whole lot about him. I’m glad ya’ll went off on them. That finger point tho is the highlight of my morning. Happy the babies are okay.” I’m glad too, since this is a situation that could have ended very badly.
