Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were definitely considered an odd couple when they first began dating. The country music crooner and the punk pop princess seemed to have nothing in common on the outside. However, after meeting on the set of The Voice and bonding over divorce heartbreak, the pair took a shot at love. They happily got married in 2021. However, the cracks in their relationship may now be showing as sources claim that the musical pair are living separate lives.
According to the March 17 edition of the National Enquirer, Blake Shelton’s marriage to Gwen Stefani could be in jeopardy. Since the country star left his gig at The Voice and retreated from stardom, he’s been living a much different lifestyle. Instead of Hollywood events and star-studded parties, he’s been enjoying country life. However, Stefani’s not happy about how her husband’s been spending his time.
“Now that Blake is no longer tied down with work, he likes to take off on hunting and fishing trips, even though he’s not very good at it,” an insider stated. “Blake enjoys these nature trips and will spend a day or three out in the wild soaking it in, but the game he brings home and the fish that need gutting and cleaning gross Gwen out.”
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Leading Separate Lives As Their Beliefs Clash
Stefani is said to follow a mostly vegan diet. This includes cutting out most animal products, especially meat. So, when Shelton brings home his kills she’s not impressed or happy about it. Even though Gwen knew that Blake was a meat-eater before they tied the knot, she allegedly gets upset about the way he “proudly waves” it in her face.
“She’s made that very clear to Blake, but he brushes her complaints aside. It’s a way of life for him that’s nonnegotiable. Besides that, he doesn’t really take her icky looks that seriously,” the informant added.
To make matters worse, Shelton and Stefani live on a farm, and the No Doubt lead singer is said to have fallen in love with their animals. She has a soft spot for them all, and when Blake “killing critters” it’s said to “really bother” her. However, Blake “doesn’t seem to care.”
The situation has gotten so bad, that insiders are wondering if their difference of opinion will be the thing that actually drives them apart. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani obviously have very different personalities. However, it seems that neither is ready to budge when it comes to their beliefs about diet, animals, and farm life. For now, it seems that they’ll continue to live separate lives until something gives.
