One month after his shocking death at age 65, Bob Saget’s cause of death has been revealed to have been head trauma. According to CNN, Saget’s family released a statement saying, “The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it, and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.”
The family also expressed gratitude for the support they’ve received and encouraged Saget’s fans to “remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.”
Saget was found dead on January 9, 2022, in his Florida hotel room while on his comedy tour. He had tweeted about performing for an audience and loving every moment the night before. Neither foul play nor drugs had ever been suspected. An unfounded conspiracy theory circulated that his death was related to a Covid-19 booster, but the rumors had no evidence, and now with his cause of death confirmed as head trauma, there is no reason to come to such a conclusion.
Saget’s loss is still painful and raw for his family and those who have worked with them. His former TV daughter on Full House Candace Cameron Bure told Entertainment Tonight that she’s “always waiting for him to text and chime in and make a joke… And I know it’s not going to happen.” She has said that she’s found comfort in her relationships with Saget’s family and with her fellow co-stars from Full House.
