Unfortunately, there are enough people out in the world that make living your day-to-day life more difficult than it needs to be. However, just as some people are like that, there are those willing to retaliate against them. That’s exactly what a bodega worker in New York City did after a belligerent customer tried to make his life difficult. It’s good that the internet is an archive, and the entire situation was recorded and reposted to Reddit for everyone to see.
The video begins with a man rudely knocking over several bags of chips and other items inside a bodega in New York City. He must have been at it for a while before the beginning of the recording because, after doing that, an employee walks over to him from behind the counter. However, instead of talking to the belligerent male Karen, the bodega worker immediately swings at him, knocking him out. After the man hits the ground, the bodega worker goes in for a few more hits to the face and then drags him out by the hood of his jacket.
The belligerent man must not have expected anything to happen or sufficiently had the wind knocked out of him because after the employee walks back inside to keep doing his job, the camera pans over to him, sitting on the ground outside. Commenters agreed with the worker’s actions, with some even praising his work.
“I approve of this city spanking. Did not indulge or abuse more than necessary.”
While I don’t necessarily agree that anyone should be hurt for any reason, it’s hard to feel as though this man didn’t deserve it. I mean, he went out of his way to make the worker’s job harder. I don’t know what his reasoning for that was, but whatever it was, it’s unacceptable. Hopefully, the man was apprehended or, at the very least, permanently kicked out of the bodega.
