Criminals are seemingly always looking for new and inventive ways to get away with breaking the law. However, one man in Louisiana took it to the next level when he went all out and planned an elaborate disguise that was obviously meant to throw off witnesses and police. Instead of using a standard mask, a baseball cap pulled down low, or a sweatshirt with the hood up, he decided to dress up as an injured man.
The criminal seemingly had a flair for the dramatic as he wore a gray tracksuit, a bucket hat, a medical mask, and a neck brace. He even used a cane to walk with a limp to put his disguise over the top.
The Louisiana man walked into a Fidelity Bank in Slidell this week. He didn’t appear like a man who was plotting to rob the bank. However, that’s exactly what he did in the video, which was posted to X.

He reportedly approached the teller and handed them a note, likely demanding money. He then began to shout, yell, and ordered the money to be given to him. People were said to be confused due to the man’s appearance.
Of course, the man wasn’t as injured as he appeared to be. Instead, the robbery reportedly happened fast, and once he had the money in his hand his injuries miraculously healed. He took off, running without a limp or the use of his cane.
Of course, social media was buzzing after the news was released. It seemed like everyone had an opinion about the masked man pretending to be injured.
“Some people put more effort into committing crimes than building a honest life. Imagine if he used that creativity for business, innovation, or something useful,” one person pointed out via X. “Bro really went method acting for this role,” another joked.
“Bro low key pulled off one of the greatest heist ever,” a third person stated. “I admire the dedication to the role,” a fourth comment read. “I would’ve been suspicious from the start,” another wrote.
Meanwhile, WWLTV reports that the man was eventually caught, thanks in part to a Louisiana K9 Unit. He eventually surrendered after a standoff. The entire situation may seem like it was written for a dramatic television show, or a Hollywood movie. However, this just goes to show that no matter how much you plan the perfect crime, there will likely still be consequences for your actions.
