The advice to “respect the badge” has become increasingly difficult as of late, especially given that any encounter with police or a federal officer can go terribly wrong, as we’ve seen in Minnesota. Yet, there are some people out there who’ve always advocated for obedient cooperation with any and all cops, regardless of the officers’ intentions. One Reddit user posting to r/agedlikemilk has shared a photo of a Massachusetts driver’s car, with stickers that have definitely aged poorly for the present day, with ICE’s non-stop rampage.
Next to the car’s Harley Davidson bumper sticker is a sticker that reads “Reduce Police Brutality.” How, you might ask? Well, the solution is easy, according to them: “DON’T RESIST ARREST.” Needless to say, “This advice hasn’t worked in Minnesota lately….” as the poster puts it. While the tragic death of Renee Good is still fresh on everyone’s mind, let’s not forget about the 32 other people who have died under ICE’s custody since last year, per The Guardian.
NBC News also reports that 11 people have been shot by ICE agents since September 2025. And let’s not overlook the dozens upon dozens of videos shared online of completely peaceful and harmless protestors or bystanders being viciously assaulted and injured by immigration officers. These aren’t hard-to-find, dark-web videos either; with just a simple Google Search, you can find hundreds of videos of both police officers and ICE agents terrorizing anyone and everyone they deem as “the enemy.” That apparently includes people driving through their neighborhood to pick up their children from school as well.

“The Harley bumper sticker and the call for bootlicking is *chef’s kiss,” remarks a commenter reacting to the Massachusetts driver’s sticker. “When did the conservative position become, ‘You must immediately comply with the barely-trained government agent or you deserve summary execution?‘” questioned another. “We have fallen so very far,” sighed a third.
It’s important not to intentionally misunderstand: it’s important to cooperate with authorities when necessary. Being harassed, threatened, or attacked for not proving one’s citizenship has never been and will never be “necessary.” But the power trip that the administration has drip-fed its supporters and officers isn’t doing the country any favors.
