The mayhem in Borderlands 3 is about to get spooky! In true Borderlands fashion, the developers recently announced in a live stream that the first of several, free in-game events is Blood Harvest, an event perfect for the spookiest time of year, and it is set to roll out sometime next month.

Bloody Harvest is set to start in October and will offer players a new area, enemies, and, more importantly, limited loot. Each character will get their own Halloween-themed skin. Moze players get a new, spooky skin for Iron Bear. And Fl4k’s pets will get their own adorable costumes. There will also be two new guns, a shield, and an Echo device theme for the Borderlands event. Fearmonger, a shotgun that appears to be inspired by Cthulhu himself, is one of the new goodies. Check it out below!

Borderlands 3 - Bloody Harvest: Fearmonger

Borderlands 3’s map will open up to reveal the Bloody Harvest map once you have left Pandora and started to explore the various planets throughout the game. Special enemies, like fire-breathing Rakk-O’Lanterns and a spooky variation of the story-line boss Captain Traunt, will haunt the grounds of the game. And, to up the spook factor, some enemies will become haunted. Once an enemy is dead, their spirit may rise from their dead body to attack you, causing misted vision which “weakens your gun handling, accuracy, and spread”.

As of right now, a specific release date for the in-game Borderlands event has yet to be announced, but the October dates should be announced shortly in the next iteration of the live-stream series.

Borderlands 3 is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC
