A woman in Boston, Massachusetts, decided to use her skills as a ventriloquist and order a Whopper at a Burger King. Without opening her mouth, she screamed her order as if her life depended on it, and, miraculously, the employee understood everything. Thanks to this feat of human talent, she went viral.
The woman in question is Serena, whose handle is serenasprouts. She revealed that not only was she going to order a Whopper with her mouth closed, but that it was going to be the first Burger King burger she’d ever had in her life. She would do a review afterward, so first impressions were important.
After almost whispering a shy “hi” to the man behind the counter, she screamed her order. She said, without opening her mouth, “Can I please have one Whopper Junior?” Shockingly, her words were not unintelligible at all, and when asked about her order, she answered normally.
“Thanks!” she said, this time with her lips shut, as she received the burger.
Back in her car, the Massachusetts woman detailed that her experience was different from what she had expected. Most likely, the cashier experienced the same thing. She detailed that the cashier was not a young person like herself, so she decided to film herself rather than waiting for the Burger King employee to understand her vibe, which he totally did.
And to continue down the goosebump lane, Serena gave her review with her mouth shut in what might easily be a voice Trey Parker would be proud of.
“I got a Whopper Junior with cheese,” she said. “I originally wanted to get no mayonnaise, but I thought it would be too much of a mouthful. Very good presentation!“
Mouth Shut, Review, Reactions
The Massachusetts woman, of course, had to actually open her mouth to taste the Whopper. After praising the veggies and labeling the meat “fine,” now with her mouth shut, she gave the Burger King burger a 7 out of 10.
Serena’s clip was viewed almost two million times, with users reacting in shock or with amazement at her ventriloquism skills. One user said, “Girl, you’re gonna give yourself hemorrhoids.” Another one commented, “Hi, this is legitimately scary to me, so I’m blocking you, bye.” A third one added, “This would’ve got you on iCarly back in the day.”
Whether she is reviewing food or singing Justin Bieber’s “Baby,” Serena will continue to keep her mouth shut and be loud at the same time. And the internet, again, will love it.
