I love me some Texas Roadhouse. Personally, if there really is an afterlife, it’s either a Cracker Barrel, a Chili’s, or a Texas Roadhouse. Unfortunately, for one family, their trip to Roadhouse in Boston, Massachusetts, wasn’t all peanuts and… more peanuts when they discovered staples inside a bread roll. You read that correctly: staples, like, from a stapler. However, while the victim tried not to make a big deal because mistakes can happen, the management at the establishment had something completely different to say.
The video above features TikTok user @maymonayy as she describes her visit to a Boston Texas Roadhouse the night before. While her family were eating the complimentary bread rolls served when guests sit down, the youngest daughter discovered various staples inside her bun. When management was called to discuss the situation, the manager explained that the facility was stapler-free. That particular comment struck the victim’s family as odd because they could physically see paperwork that had staples on it inside the restaurant.
Unfortunately, two managers did not share the same story. Another manager approached the table and apologized, explaining that a box of staples was likely opened near the bread mix, causing the mistake. But if the facility is stapler-free, then how could that have possibly happened? When the management was called out on this, the conversation changed to the possibility of the young girl who bit into the staple bringing them in herself. Fortunately, the family recorded most of the conversation and decided to vent their anger in what is now a viral video, calling the restaurant and management specifically for their actions.
Commenters were quick to join others in condemning the restaurant’s actions, with one person even saying, “Normalize making a police report and documenting everything,” concerning the video evidence. What’s even wilder is that a different TikTok user by the name of @redhotravioli happened to also be in the restaurant, seated next to the family when the situation happened.
Her story corroborates the one that the victim’s family was telling, even down to how the management was treating them. If the video evidence wasn’t enough, this woman helped give an additional side to the story. She even offered to be a witness should the family decide to sue, saying, “omg my fiancรฉ and i were at the table right next to you guys!! we couldnโt really hear much besides something about staples and bread but we could tell something was definitely wrong. if you decide to sue you have us as witnesses!”
