The actress made a series of appearances this week that have sparked concern among fans, with her barely-recognizable looks. She first raised brows on Sunday with her appearance at the SAG Awards in a custom Louis Vuitton peach dress, featuring an open back and a cowl neckline. The star paired the outfit with a pair of gold sandals and diamond earrings, capturing attention with her new blonde chic appearance. Styling her blonde locks in a sleek braided bun and one loose strand hanging down her face, Millie Bobby Brown appeared more mature than usual, her trim face standing out. She looked unrecognizable as she posed beside her husband Jake Bongiovi on the red carpet.

While fans could have easily dismissed her noticeably older appearance or attribute it to her choice hairdo and makeup style, her appearance at another red carpet event convinced them it was no coincidence. Brown, who tied the knot with Bongiovi in May 2024, walked the red carpet on Monday, for the Los Angeles premiere of her film, The Electric State, which hits theatres on March 25. This time, the 21-year-old opted for a sequined, floor-length mermaid dress, styling her blonde locks into a high-top bun, with bangs hanging over her forehead. Fans noted that Millie Bobby Brown appeared even older in this new sighting, her mature look seeming over a decade more advanced than her age.
Several fans turned to social media to express their concerns about the actress’ rapidly-aged look, describing her as “unrecognizable.” A fan wrote on X,
“Literally had to double check it was her who turned 21 the other day and not 40.”

Brown Warned to Use Fillers With Caution
Some fans speculated that like her altered hair color, Millie Bobby Brown most likely had some procedures done on her face, which accounts for the older look. While this is hardly the first time the actress has faced allegations of using cosmetic procedures to enhance her looks, a cosmetic surgeon recently weighed in on the speculations, analyzing her latest red carpet appearances.
Speaking to DailyMail, award-winning cosmetic surgeon Dr Paul Banwell revealed that Brown’s fuller lips and higher cheekbones in her red carpet shots suggested the use of fillers. The surgeon clarified that while her features indicated she had her face altered in some way, whatever procedure she did was subtle. Hence, her visibly older appearance just might be a sign of the natural aging process. Regardless, the surgeon left a note of warning for the 21-year-old, urging her not to “risk her natural beauty” by overdoing fillers. According to him, failing to adhere to the advice could result in “botched” appearances like “pillow face” or a “frozen face,” both of which are undesirable outcomes of cosmetic procedures.
