We are going to take a look at a couple of boxes from January and February. Let’s look at January first…
So, who thought Jason from Friday the 13th could be so cute? Yes, it’s a plushy of the killer himself!
You typically get a horror movie with each box and in January, we got Demonic Toys. The storyline to this movie is as follows:
A botched bust on a pair of arms dealers inadvertantly leads to the raising of a sixty-six-year-old demon with the power to bring toys to life as his personal minions. The demon is looking for a body to inhabit so he can increase his powers, and it just so happens that one of the police officers is pregnant with the ideal host. As the murderous toys close in on their victims, the officer must not only fight for her life, but for the soul of her unborn child. (Source: IMDB)
That brings back memories of Chuck, the doll!
We also got an issue of Delirium a magazine for Sci-Fi and Horror fans. Personally, it’s not something I would subscribe to but I can see someone who is an avid horror movie fan enjoying it.
That is basically the contents of the January Box. The February box had similar items in it. Let’s take a look.
February’s box had this Dorbz figure of Peter Venkman from Ghostbusters. I think I see the resemblance.
We are starting to see more of the Dorbz figures in subscription boxes. I think they are “cute.”
Continuing the Ghostbusters theme, we also received this Mymoji blind pack.
Funko Pop! has pens! Look at that cute little Freddy Krueger on the top of that pen.
Another scary movie, Bear.
Two young couples are driving through a remote forest when their car breaks down. When a run-in with a curious grizzly bear ends up with the bear being shot to death, the bear’s mate arrives on the scene and vengefully attacks their van. The couples are trapped inside the disabled car and must come up with clever ways to survive. As they battle the surprisingly intelligent creature, and contemplate their uncertain fate, secrets begin to emerge that threaten to tear the group apart before the bear does. (IMDB)
This sounds like your typical scary movie where you are screaming at the screen because they go places they shouldn’t or open doors they shouldn’t. They are just asking to be killed. Has anyone seen this? What did you think?
This box is a pretty good choice for horror/sci-fi fans. It’s not too expensive and you get a new horror film to watch each month and add to your collection. Head over and subscribe if you are one of these fans.
