Waving swastika flags, armed with rifles, and dressed in all black clothing, a group of neo-Nazis descended on Ohio last Friday to stage a hate demonstration. Sporting red face masks, the fascist marchers chose to hang their swastika banner over a highway overpass between Lincoln Heights and Evendale. While some local residents banded together to protect the Ohio community, some unfortunate citizens were caught in the thick of it. In fact, one brave Cincinnati man, who was sat in his car on the highway during the demonstration, stood his ground while the neo-Nazi protestors hurled racial slurs his way in a bid to intimidate him. Be warned that some readers may find the language in the clip below distressing.
The footage is captured from the perspective of one of the neo-Nazi protestors who is recording the incident on their phone, and takes place on the highway overpass during the hate demonstration. A group of armed Nazis gather around a black vehicle, and begin yelling racial slurs at the man sat in the driving seat. “What’s up, n****r!“
As one can imagine, most people who would be in this dangerous situation would likely be intimidated by the actions of the hostile neo-Nazi protestors. However, on the contrary, this brave Cincinnati man holds his ground and puts on a brave face, and can be seen nonchalantly dancing to the Public Enemy rap hit, Fight the Power.
In a bid to show that he’s not messing around, however, the man can also be seen coolly brandishing a gun while he’s dancing to the music in his vehicle, though he doesn’t visibly aim the weapon at the fascist marchers surrounding him. You can even hear the Ohio resident sing along to the lyrics. “Fight the power!”
Surprisingly, one of the Nazis shouts, “You’re going to jail, b***h!” but is quickly drowned out by a tidal wave of racial slurs from another member of the fascist demonstration. “F**ing n****r! F**ing n****r!“
With over 39k upvotes and 2.7k comments on the Reddit post alone, it’s safe to say that the viral clip is trending hard and is making waves online thanks to the fearlessness and the mettle shown by the Cincinnati resident. One Redditor took aim at how inept the neo-nazis were, writing:
“Guys I’m calling him a slur, why isnt he intimidated?

Finally, a third commenter penned: “This video is amazing for the guy standing up to to these LARPer d**chebags but god damn does it boil my blood that these people are so emboldened“
In a news bulletin from WCPO 9, the brave Cincinnati man in the video was revealed to be Eric Ruffin who was interviewed by the local news outlet. “Officially letting you know that there is racism in America. This is absolutely ridiculous that I gotta deal with this.” he shared.
While counter protestors did break through the police line to confront the neo-Nazi demonstrators, no one was reportedly injured. Furthermore, no one was arrested by the police, as according to the local news outlet, the Evendale police determined that “while offensive”, the neo-Nazi demonstration was not unlawful because the protest took place on the sidewalk and was not blocking traffic.
