It’s possible a character from one of television’s most acclaimed shows will be returning for the Breaking Bad movie. Bryan Cranston’s Walter White is on a reported cast list for the film. For anyone not caught up on the series, there will be spoilers for the ending of Breaking Bad.
The film is going to have to rely heavily on flashbacks or feature drug-induced hallucinations because as fans of the show know, White didn’t end up making it in the end.
According to a post by Revenge of the Fans, the cast list for the Breaking Bad movie, referred to as Greenbrier, includes a number of returning characters. Those of which are Krysten Ritter, Jesse Plemons, Jonathan Banks, Charles Baker, Matt Jones, and Robert Forster among many others.
Vince Gilligan is working on another project set in the Breaking Bad world with spinoff series Better Call Saul. Avid watchers of the show are aware it features scenes set all around the seasons of Breaking Bad. Some of which take place before, during, and after the series five-season run. Interestingly enough, Cranston never makes a cameo in the series.
The movie was announced in the Fall of 2018 with the production of “Greenbrier” expected to wrap up in February.
Rumor has it the Breaking Bad movie will be a sequel to the show that started in 2008 and ended in 2013. The plot for the sequel is reportedly set right after Jesse’s escape in the finale of the last season. Seeing as Walter was one of the main stars in the series, it makes sense to include him in the movie, but how he will show up is unknown.
Breaking Bad won several awards and is considered by many to be one of the best TV shows in history. With production wrapping soon, one could assume we will learn more about the movie sometime this year.
