Over the weekend, Britney Spears shared a photo of herself riding a horse through a desert, her back exposed and covered only by a hat and bra strap. But the image was tame compared to the singer’s long and worrisome red flag-filled caption.
Spears spoke about wings, God, betrayal, and trauma. She reveals that she’d once lost control of her body for months. The singer compared herself to the Disney villain Maleficent, suggesting that just like the character, her “wings were taken” from her and that she’s been struggling to “fly” ever since.
The former pop princess said she had endured “traumatic experiences” she didn’t even include in her memoir The Woman in Me, implying that her story is much darker. She went on to claim that she suffered “brain damage” years ago and that she’s still recovering from what happened.
