Britney Spears‘ headlines are exploding right now. Fans are talking about her divorce settlement, conservatorship drama, and pre-weekend medical incident, and now there’s more. On Saturday, the 42-year-old singer posted to Instagram in dance mode, with a caption giving a nod to both her choice of pink swimwear and, it would seem, her “real name.”
Posting as she recovers from a twisted ankle sustained after a reported fight with her boyfriend at the swanky Chateau Marmont, Britney shared what may have been throwback footage of herself dancing around in a bathing suit and heeled boots. The Grammy-winning hitmaker, who goes by “XILA” on her IG handle, is apparently named after something very pink.
Britney Spears Shares Name On Instagram Amid Injury
Likely home and nursing her twisted ankle, Britney looked vibrant as she popped with a golden tan contrasting her bright pink bikini.
“HOT PINK READS WELL… CONSIDERING PINKY IS MY REAL NAME !!!” she wrote.
“Pss… trying to keep things so professional and classy !!! With the beautiful service here in America I don’t want to throw trash or spit in anyone’s faces !!!” the ex to Sam Asghari continued. Britney’s full legal name is Britney Jean Spears. Given that her post was fairly lighthearted in nature, it can be assumed that her “name” reveal was in jest. The singer has, however, massively worried her fans of late as her Instagram posts often appear bizarre and, recently, come complete with angry outbursts toward her family.
Third Divorce Is Done And Dusted
Britney is further in the news for recently having settled her divorce from personal trainer and actor Sam Asghari. The former couple, who met in 2016, were married for only 14 months. Sam filed for divorce, citing: “irreconcilable differences,” however he is said to be feeling sorry for Britney after her ankle trauma. Sources say the hunky star found the situation “worrisome.”
“Sam has been down this road with Britney before and knows how she is,” an insider continued.
Britney suffers from bipolar disorder. She has often maintained that she is well amid sporadic posting sprees on social media. The star has also told her fans to stop bullying her with their comments, possibly explaining why comments to the feed are currently disabled.
A recent post from the blonde read: “Goddesses out there, I’m reaching my higher power, and furthermore, I hope you guys are too!!! I need a new toothbrush right now!!! PS … I need an espresso!!!
