Bruce Willis‘ family can no longer ignore the reality of things as his battle with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) and aphasia continues. The actor’s ex-wife, Demi Moore, recently gave an update about his health, admitting that his loved ones have gotten to a stage of “acceptance.”
Moore made the revelation at the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival, where she received the Career Achievement in Acting Award. Always one to shower her ex-husband with love, the Striptease actress gave an update on Bruce’s health. She told the audience, per People Magazine:
“You know, I’ve said this before. The disease is what the disease is. And I think you have to be in real deep acceptance of what that is. But for where he’s at, he is stable.”
Moore continued, explaining how she and the rest of the family are navigating the challenging period. “What I always encourage is to just meet them where they’re at,” she advised. “When you’re holding on to what was, I think it’s a losing game. But when you show up to meet them where they’re at, there is great beauty and sweetness.”
The 61-year-old added that she saw the Die Hard actor just “two days ago” while visiting with their granddaughter, Louetta.
Bruce Willis’ Daughter Preserving Memories With Actor
Moore’s update gives fans a picture of how their beloved actor is doing lately. Weeks back, Bruce’s daughter, Tallulah Willis, shared an update via social media. She has been open about how spending more time with her father helps her cope with his health struggles. From time to time, she shares photos from their moments together to fans’ delight.
On September 30, the doting daughter shared sweet images of her and Bruce, including one of the 69-year-old affectionately kissing his daughter. “Hey, I love this guy so much, and feeling feelings is tough stuff, but I’m so grateful to let them flow through me now instead of disconnecting from it,” she captioned the post,
