Caitlyn Jenner has attempted to stay close to her Kardashian family members following her divorce from Kris Jenner. In the past, Caitlyn shared a special bond with her former son-in-law, Kanye West. However, that bond has faded away due to the rapper’s recent comments and behavior. Now, Jenner allegedly won’t have any contact with West and refuses to pick up the phone when he calls. All of this comes at a time when Cait is trying to keep her image as clean as possible due to her aspirations to become the future governor of California.
According to the latest edition of Globe Magazine, Caitlyn Jenner wants nothing to do with Kanye West or the media firestorm he’s created with his offensive comments and bizarre behavior. West has reportedly alienated many friends and family members, and Jenner is the latest.
“It’s sad. Caitlyn was always a fan of Kanye and defended him for years, but like everyone else she’s absolutely disgusted by what he’s been doing and can no longer support him,” an insider tells the publication.
“Not that long ago, she used to take Kanye’s calls and did her best to stay on good terms with him, but she’s past that point. He’s reached out and suggested they should team up, but Caitlyn isn’t budging!”
Caitlyn Jenner Steers Clear of Kanye West Drama
The source revealed that Caitlyn Jenner simply “can’t afford” to be connected to Kanye West if she wants to run for California governor. The 75-year-old former reality TV star doesn’t want West anywhere near her unless he cleans up his act and sets things right with ex-wife, Kim Kardashian and their four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
“There’s just no excuse for that kind of behavior,” the informant added. “Cait’s heartbroken and angry on behalf of Kim, her grandchildren, and the other targets of Kanye’s cruelty. It’s clear he’s in the midst of a serious crisis, but that doesn’t mean his revolting behavior can be excused. Until Kanye gets help and makes things right with Kim and the rest of the world, he’s not welcome in Cait’s life!”
However, this isn’t the first time that Cailtyn has dissed Kanye. Back in 2022 when Kim Kardashian began dating Pete Davidson, Jenner shared her happiness over the union. She also revealed that the family was thrilled to have a comedian in their ranks. “We don’t need more rappers,” she stated.
Although West was said to be very supportive to Jenner throughout her transition in 2015, Jenner still reveals that the father of four is a “very complicated guy.” Although Kim’s romance with Pete didn’t last, Caitlyn was adamant that her stepdaughter “deserves to be happy” following her divorce from Kanye, per Hola.
It looks like Caitlyn Jenner is just the latest in a long line of people that Kanye West has rubbed the wrong way. The rapper’s comments about Jewish people, Hitler, his children, and other celebrities haven’t left many coming to his defense.
