There’s nothing I love to see more than a racist Karen being told how it is. Especially when they make unnecessary comments uninvited, sometimes you have to speak up and say something. Even if it doesn’t change their behavior, at least it can feel good to put a racist in their place. This is what a California artist decided to do when she was confronted by a racist Karen at a craft show.
An artist in California (@lacatrinitacrafts) shared a video of a racist Karen who confronted her at a craft show. The artist, who is Mexican, was flying a Mexican flag at her stand. However, the Karen took offense to that. She decided to confront the artist in the most alarmingly racist way.
The Karen can be said asking the artist, “Why the f**k are you flying a Mexican flag in America?” The artist simply replies, “Because it’s what I want to do.” The Karen tries to explain to her that it matters what flag she flies in America. However, the artist continues to tell her that it really doesn’t. The artist eventually gives up on trying to inform this Karen and says, “You’re not worth my time.” This makes the Karen look shocked, as if she’s been slapped.
At this point, the artist asks her to leave her stand because she’s trying to work. The artist waves her flag and calls out to the Karen in Spanish as she finally gives up and walks away from the stand. But, as she goes, she flips off the artist because she has to have the last word. As the artist records her, Karen flips her off multiple times. She’s clearly displeased even though she’s the one who decided to confront the artist in the first place.
As one commenter hilariously pointed out, “She’s the type who’s on her way to a Mexican restaurant & loves salsa.” Another commenter said, “Ask her why is she driving a VW (German) car in ‘America.’” Apparently, this Karen and many other racists refused the memo where we’re a giant melting pot here in America. The cultures coming together are what make us special, but she’s too busy being offended by a flag to notice.
