Despite the ongoing crisis happening in Minnesota, politicians and citizens from all over the country have a lot to say about the ICE-induced mania that has taken over that region. From across the nation, liberals and conservatives are at a fever pitch, and outspoken California Governor Newsom has outright angered a larger number of his constituents by appearing on a Ben Shapiro interview and backtracking on his criticism of ICE antics.
In a viral Reddit post created by Manjuiced, a story first reported by Common Dreams, goes over the absolute insane outrage caused by Governor Newsom’s appearance with the maligned or celebrated (depending on your views) conservative Ben Shapiro.
He was challenged about his office’s statements on ICE, including official statements where ICE was dubbed “state-sponsored terrorism.” Newsom was then challenged by Shapiro, who said clearly ICE officers aren’t terrorists, and Newsom agreed with him in a move that is being seen as weak and traitorous by Democrats and liberals across the nation. Here are some of the comments that had to say about his choice to appear on the show and say what he said.
“I’m fuming that he did a Ben Shapiro interview.”
“He will always reach across the aisle and sell us out.”
“Yup. He’s a corporatist in the pocket of Big Real Estate who the 1% have already tapped to be the DNC nominee for their corporate president in 2028. That’s why all of their media networks are promoting him non-stop and why the only sites that will criticize him are progressive bulwarks like this one.”
“The Democrats would be making a huge mistake if they try to coronate this guy, which is why I’m actively expecting it, considering what happened in the last three general elections and the Democrats having a tendency to grab defeat out of the jaws of victory.”
As you can see, Newsom is angering his own base as he prepares for the 2028 elections, where he will likely face stiff competition from AOC and others who may emerge in the next couple of years.
