California Influencer Fumes Over Family Ruining Her TikTok Video, ‘I Love the Family For Doing That’

They made the right move

You want to make a silly video for social media? Be my guest! However, I canโ€™t stress the fact you should be aware of others around you, especially in public spaces. Sure, thereโ€™s nothing stopping you from making your video in a public area, but please stay out of peoplesโ€™ way. Apparently, one influencer in California doesnโ€™t understand the social contract. When a family ended up in her stupid dance video, she wasnโ€™t happy about it.

Posted by Natalie Reynolds on her social media, the video shows Natalie doing a dance to a song. Unfortunately for her, the routine is interrupted by a family. They push on through, despite Natalieโ€™s phone being propped up onto the door. The family, two women and a child, looked visibly annoyed (I would be, too). Natalie quickly jumps back into frame to finish her video.

Of course, Natalieโ€™s dance was clearly the most important thing happening that day and god forbid a family try to exit the store. When a commenter told Natalie, โ€œThey were just trying to get out,โ€ she didnโ€™t agree. She replied, โ€œNah they purposely used the door my phone was on when there was another door right next to it they couldโ€™ve used but they did that to be petty.โ€ She also commented on the โ€œdirty looksโ€ they gave her as they were leaving.

Another commenter asked her, โ€œNatalie, why would you put your phone on the door?โ€ which Natalie argued was for better lighting. That would make sense, except people normally go outside for better lighting. This is inside a business, with normal people going about their day. Itโ€™s clear the family was just trying to leave, not cause a problem. They even paused for a moment, like they were waiting for her to move on.

Given Natalieโ€™s past controversies (like daring a homeless woman to jump into water for $20), the way she frames the family as being in the wrong, and where sheโ€™s filming, itโ€™s pretty obvious Natalie just wanted outrage. Itโ€™s Social Media 101โ€”make a rage-bait video and the views will come in and feed your main character syndrome.

“I love the family for doing that,” one commenter said, which beautifully sums up the video. There’s certainly a level of patience you should have with strangers, but I draw the line at waiting for you to make a silly TikTok video.
