If you refuse to tip, you’re basically saying that you’re okay with poor service. Whether it’s at a restaurant, a tattoo parlor, or when dealing with delivery drivers, tipping should be expected. However, as we know, there are a lot of Karens running rampant out there. This means that many people are choosing to skip the tip. In doing so, they might not receive the stunning service they expected. As one California man says, no delivery drivers will deliver his Karen mom’s groceries because she refuses to tip.
TikToker @likemichaeldocumentary shared a video titled, “No one will deliver my mom’s groceries because she refuses to tip.” The TikToker’s frustrated mother sits on the phone, questioning a worker on where her groceries are. You can tell she’s becoming increasingly angry, wondering why nobody has brought them to her yet. The worker tells the Karen that there are a lot of delivery drivers who should be picking up her groceries, but apparently, she’s been waiting for some time.
The Karen says, “It’s ridiculous how long I’ve been waiting on this order. This has never happened before, ever.” The worker tells her that they can’t assign the delivery to drivers. Instead, they have to choose which order they’re picking up and delivering to which home. They explain to the Karen, “It’s more of the driver’s just accepting it or not.” It’s clear they don’t want to repeatedly deliver to the home where the non-tipping Karen lives. These workers want their money and they have the right to deliver where the money is at.
In the end, the worker explains to her that they can call the delivery company and request that the drivers receive more pay to deliver to her. It’s kind of ridiculous that they need to go to those extents. Really, how difficult is it to just leave a small tip when you’re fully capable of doing so? But in the end, people will be greedy and expect services for nothing. It’s clear that this Karen will never be happy with her service.
