Every town has its fair share of eccentric characters. From a guy with rats on a subway in Boston to a brave Cincinnati man standing up to nazis, there’s a colorful cast of unique individuals in every town and state across the country. Sometimes, however, a person can catch your eye for doing something wildly outlandish that puts a smile on your face. Enter: this California man, aka “Mad Max” Johnson, who decided it would be appropriate to break into a dance on a busy highway intersection right next to one of the most bizarre vehicles I’ve ever seen.
Sporting turquoise trainers, a gargoyle’s tail, a pair of what appear to be bat wings, and a red beard, the brief snippet of footage centers on a busy intersection in Florida, where the man has decided to stop and break out some dance moves. Dancing along to the tune of TLC’s chart-topping hit No Scrubs, the eccentric fella cuts some rug while onlookers in cars beep their horns at him as they drive past.
That’s not all, however, as the camera then pans over to the man’s Honda vehicle, which is… questionable in design. Not only is it overflowing with random objects, but it almost appears like it’s gonna topple over at any second. Oh, and the back of his vehicle has a digital screen on it. Handy, right?
As one Redditor so eloquently puts it, “That car looks like a danger to other road users!!” Meanwhile, another sensible commenter added, “How is that car legal?” Furthermore, another netizen joked about the man’s quirky appearance and compared him to a video game adversary, writing, “I’m pretty sure he’s just a stage 1 mini boss.” A fourth comment came in that really tickled me, expressing, “When you click randomize on the character creation screen in a video game“.
