Racism is still alive and well in the United States, even in a state like California. With the death of Charlie Kirk, rather than focus their hatred on gun violence or gun reform, a Nazi rally was quickly formed in California. The strange part? They were chanting their racist rhetoric and somehow pin the blame on people of color for Charlie Kirk’s death. Right now the suspected shooter is White, so how exactly are they squaring this circle?
Shared by TikTok user TheVGundam, a large group of White men and women came together after Charlie Kirk’s unexpected assassination in Huntington Beach. “LARPer Nazi rally has erupted in honor of Charlie Kirk’s death.” the caption read. You can see the protestors standing and rallying with their American flags. But what they’re shouting is the most alarming part: The protestors are ranting, “White man, fight back!”
Fight back against who, exactly? Seeing the crowd of MAGA hats and boomers, it’s either Black people or Jews. And neither is the right answer. Honestly, it isn’t surprising to see racists using Charlie Kirk’s death to spread racism. But as one commenter put it, “So Black, Latino, and other minority conservatives weren’t included on the guest list for this rally?”
Meanwhile, onlookers are watching this rally in disbelief and mocking how ridiculous the people are. Commenters weren’t surprised by the stupidity. One commenter pointed out, “They just using this opportunity to go express their racism!!” Another person stated, “Except the current suspect of interest is a white man wearing a flag.”
And look, a call to violence by the side that’s always saying Democrats are pushing for violence. One commenter shared a similar sentiment: “Used as a warning to house republicans. Charlie was speaking out about releasing the files. The left would NEVER create a distraction from the e-files. We would never put our communities in harms way. Violence has been incited against us.”
With this taking place in Huntington Beach, it shouldn’t be a surprise, considering it leans heavily conservative. According to one commenter, “It’s Huntington Beach in Orange County, CA, so don’t be surprised. It has a history.”
