While many people across the country remain angered and horrified by what happened to Renee Good in Minneapolis, there are still voices arguing that the incident was justified. These views are most often expressed by outspoken supporters of ICE and the MAGA movement. Among the many online discussions surrounding the Minneapolis incident, one California TikToker has drawn particular attention for confronting those views directly within their own family.

The California TikToker runs an account called The Necessary Conversation, a family-operated channel that features political discussions over video chat. The account includes two parents and their two adult children, a daughter and a son. While the children identify as liberals, the parents describe themselves as Democrats who support MAGA and Donald Trump. Their content often centers on political disagreements, and clashes between generations are common.

In the clip, the California TikToker asks his parents how they could justify the death of Renee Good, especially given that she was an American citizen and not an immigrant. His question is direct and measured, but the response from his mother is immediate. She argues that Renee Good was an “agitator” and insists that ICE agents were simply doing their jobs during the Minneapolis incident.

The California TikToker’s sister, who currently lives in Texas, interrupts in disbelief. She says she is shocked that her parents could take that position, especially when video footage from Minneapolis shows that Renee Good was not blocking anyone and appeared to be trying to move out of the way. She accuses her parents of being deeply misinformed and warns that this kind of thinking is how historical atrocities begin. Her words escalate the argument quickly.

The mother responds by blaming liberals and the Biden administration, claiming that allowing undocumented immigrants into the country has led to chaos and an increase in crime. The discussion becomes louder, with voices overlapping as the daughter and parents argue back and forth about responsibility, law enforcement, and the events in Minneapolis. Throughout the exchange, the California TikToker remains largely silent, visibly stunned by what he is hearing.

The parents continue to justify Renee Good’s death by arguing that she broke the law. The California TikToker eventually speaks again, asking a pointed question: what specific law did Renee Good violate that could justify what happened in Minneapolis? The father responds by claiming that she failed to leave the car after being told twice, suggesting that this somehow justified her being killed.

The exchange left many viewers unsettled. The California TikToker and his sister were not the only ones left speechless by the parents’ comments about the Minneapolis incident. “Agitation doesn’t justify murder,” one commenter wrote. Another asked, “Does this mean any law enforcement officer gets to decide who lives and who dies if someone doesn’t immediately obey a command? Is there no arrest anymore, only execution in the street?”
