A California TikToker, Katelyn Forrester, known for her comedic skits, experienced real-life drama when she discovered her husband was cheating. To add to the drama, his mistress was none other than her brother’s wife. She learned about the affair on Christmas, and afterwards her husband took over $5000, money that was meant to pay rent.
She goes on to explain that “he moved back to Florida to live with her,” leaving Forrester to live alone in California. Her husband not only took the money, but shut off her power and her gas. She has since gotten new service. The TikToker expresses disbelief that she and her husband’s DND group is “standing by him.” While their so-called friends are aware of what he did, her “talking about it on the internet is worse.”
The California TikToker started a GoFundMe after her husband took off, and she was surprised that “so many random strangers” donated. While she has yet to recover the full amount, she is touched by how generous people have been. Forrester states that, “the support that I have felt through that from strangers has been absolutely insane.” This sentiment is supported by comments applauding her. One says, “Yeah, screw your cheating husband.” Another agrees, “bigger and better things ahead.”
The video continues with her calling out the support in her comments. The California TikToker expresses gratitude to all those who have expressed kindness, “Every single comment has brightened my life.” While she has many in her life who are supportive, including her brother, she refers to those online as her “lifeline.” She continues that it “meant the world to [her] to have the internet on [her] side.”
California TikToker Shares Brother’s Side
Part of the online support has been many asking about her brother. The California TikToker posted another video where she answered. After checking with him, Forrester explains that “he is living his best life.” She describes him as being “happy and content.” Before the affair drama, he and his wife had “split up a while ago and had been in the process of a divorce.”
While this was “obviously still shocking to him,” this hasn’t changed, generally speaking, for his life. Forrester continues, “We are both better off without these people.” A statement that can be felt in her other video, where she details how everyone was ready “to ride at dawn” with her.
The video concludes with her sharing how “both feel betrayed by each other’s spouses,” as they had forged friendships with each of them. The California TikToker ends with assurance that “he’s good” and that she was probably “way more traumatized by this” than he was. But she continuously assures that she will be okay.
