Quick, which one do you prefer, FedEx or UPS? If you haven’t made up your mind yet, this video might help you decide. In a short clip shared by a Reddit user, several delivery drivers are seen dropping off packages at a California home. The first to arrive appears to be a woman who simply hurls the package onto the porch without care. The second delivery person, a man, makes a bit more effort. He walks up to the porch and places the package down, though he seems distracted while talking on the phone.
Another woman later delivers a much larger package, carefully setting it down before walking away. Then comes the UPS driver. He steps onto the porch, looks around at the scattered packages, and clearly isn’t impressed. “Bro, what is this?” he says while raising his arms in disbelief.
Instead of just leaving his delivery behind, he decides to help out by organizing the mess. First, he places his own package into a secure delivery box prepared by the California homeowner. Then, one by one, he moves the other packages into the box as well.
Holding up a FedEx-labeled package, he looks at the camera and says, “FedEx isn’t a good carrier, look.” He gives a thumbs-down before adding, “FedEx sucks. I’ll put it in for you.” He then checks the remaining deliveries and notes that another is from OnTrac, which he also criticizes by saying, “sucks.”
After arranging everything neatly in the box, the UPS driver smiles, gives a thumbs-up to the camera, and walks off, leaving the porch cleaner than he found it.
Many internet users were highly entertained by the UPS driver’s actions, with several praising him for going the extra mile by placing the scattered packages into the secure delivery box. One Reddit user wrote, “UPS should give this guy a raise and use this as marketing PR!” Another remarked, “I’ve known many UPS drivers, and all of them love their job because they’re actually paid well and taken care of with good benefits and retirement plans.”
Some commenters pointed out that the driver’s attitude reflected the difference between unionized workers and those who aren’t. “UPS employees are union employees. They are well compensated, and it shows,” one user said. Others took the opportunity to criticize companies like Amazon and FedEx, arguing that those companies treat their drivers as expendable and focus on keeping labor costs as low as possible.
