Sometimes, when you’re minding your own business, a verbal altercation with a rude member of the public can rear its ugly head out of no where. You may not see it coming, but it can still be bothersome enough to ruin your day. With this in mind, a California woman was relaxing in a Roscoes recently, when an unhinged stranger approached her and began verbally berating her. The embarrassing interaction was captured on film by the target of the harassment and shared to TikTok.
The 42-second clip takes place in a Roscoes, and sees the California woman staring into the camera on her phone as she checks her appearance. Accompanying the footage is the video caption, “We literally did nothing to this man…” Suddenly interjecting, a stranger approaches the woman off camera and strikes up a peculiar conversation with the lady. “That’s why Black men don’t f*ck with Black women because you guys are too bougie.” utters the stranger, holding some half-eaten food in one hand, and sporting a green cap and a red, white and blue leather biker jacket.
Going further, the man states, “That’s why my f*cking fiancé is Asian. Because I can’t stand y’all Black b*tches.” before quickly adding, “But I love my three Black daughters. Get your sh*t together.” The stranger’s bizarre tirade doesn’t end there, however. “My homie told me, personality will get you so far in life–” although mid-sentence, an employee in a high-vis jacket steps in to usher the man away from the California lady’s table. “Thank you. Please get that man away from me.” Rudely, the man throws one last insult at the woman, exclaiming, “’cause she a b*tch.” as he walks away.
Ending the clip, the target of the harassment turns the camera towards herself and explains the situation, “All I did was sit here and be a Black woman. All we did was sit here and be Black.” Thankfully, though, she brushes the interaction off and doesn’t seem to be too upset by the rude insults from the random stranger.
Users on the internet, on the other hand, were very judgemental of the strange character who nonchalantly harassed the black California woman. One thoughtful TikTok comment believed that the stranger was just jealous of the woman’s good looks, writing, “he saw something he couldn’t have and started projecting!!! omg“. Interestingly, the OP replied to this comment and explained that this was in fact the second time the man had approached her, adding, “Because mind you, this was his second outburst. When we initially walked in he screeched “DAMMMNNN” at the sight of us. This was part 2 of his response after we requested that he not take pics of us😐” Meanwhile, over on Reddit, a commenter chimed in with, “The self hatred is strong. Sir, you are black. Hating on other black people doesn’t make you look very intelligent.”
