California Woman Loses It After Realizing She’s Being Filmed: ‘She’s Just Giving Them the Ragebait Content They Are Looking For’

Is she overreacting?

We know that nowadays people love filming every single thing that happens in the streets. Sometimes, it helps, especially when you’re facing an uncomfortable situation. However, in some other cases, people just want to antagonize others by filming them. One recent scenario of this happened in California, where a couple of people with their faces covered filmed a woman at a parking lot. Unfortunately, instead of ignoring the ones with the camera, the woman freaked out, chased the individuals, and ended up succumbing to their ragebait.

While it is generally okay for people to record others, some just do it to anger those around them and get internet clout, which is what likely happened in the above situation.

The video begins with a couple of individuals recording a woman inside her vehicle. The lady gets angry at them and starts recording them with their phone. Instead of ignoring them, she engages with them, asking them questions regarding why they are filming her.

What makes this look weird is that the ones with the camera have their faces covered, or at least one of them. Also, you can see how they mute themselves in the video whenever they talk, which makes us think that this was just a ragebait attempt that, unfortunately for the lady, worked.

When the situation seemed as if it was over, the woman returned to them and told them that she called the sheriff, saying that they told her that they were not allowed to harass her. She could have ended things here, but no. The woman decided to chase the people who were filming her.

In the end, she entered her vehicle and drove off, but the ones filming her already caught the whole situation on camera, and well, exposed the poor woman.

In truth, it is a bit difficult to see who was in the wrong here. The woman’s anger was valid, but she didn’t have to freak out so much, as it’s just a way to throw fire into the situation. On the other hand, it is also strange to see people wearing masks and filming others. It is certainly scary and something we should not encourage.

Many Reddit users commented on the matter, saying that it was the lady’s fault for feeding the egos of these individuals, who were likely looking for some ragebait content.

“Best thing to do when someone is filming you, and you don’t want them to be, is to be as boring as possible,” said one person.

“She’s just giving them the ragebait content they’re looking for,” commented one person.

While we know filming in public is allowed, some people are taking it too far. Most just want to annoy others and see if they can get some views online. Hopefully, this will teach bystanders to ignore people with a camera. We need to stop giving them content.
