A woman in California is on a quest to find the love of her life. Lisa Catalano is taking to the internet to promote some old-school marketing techniques in hopes of finding her future husband. The 41-year-old decided to get off the dating apps and instead has plastered billboards in the Bay Area, which leads interested parties to her personal website, where they can find information about how they might obtain a date with her.

People use billboards to promote businesses, political candidates and ideas, and a plethora of other things. So, why not use them to find love? The California billboards have a photo of Lisa on them, and a link to her website, marrylisa.com. While it might feel like a bit of a joke, Lisa is totally serious. She’s tired of the dating grind. Instead of searching for a man, she’s letting them come to her.

“Every time I got a little frustrated with the dating scene within Silicon Valley and the Bay Area, I would work a little bit on my website,” Lisa told ABC 7. “It started off kind of almost a joke. I can do this myself; I can do this myself. I can do it and then I was thinking maybe that is not a crazy idea after all, and then I said I have to promote the website somehow and what is more local than a billboard?”

In addition to her billboards and website, Lisa is also using paper marketing. She says she has other tactics, such as business cards and fliers that she can pass out if someone requests her information, and there seems to be no shame in her game.

Unfortunately for Lisa, she was once close to marriage. However, tragedy occurred when her fiancé was diagnosed with a terminal illness and passed away in 2023. Despite the sadness, Lisa is putting herself back out there and is ready to find love again.

Of course, the internet is all for it. “I respect it, Lisa,” one person commented. “This is a fun marketing experiment. Excited to see if it works,” said another. “Make Lisa The Bachelorette,” a third person suggested. “This is a hallmark movie brewing,” a fourth comment read.

The internet is now rooting for this California woman to find happiness and spreading the word about her website to all those who may be interested in dating Lisa.
