It has been a few weeks since we’ve been tracking puzzle pieces for the reveal of Call of Duty 2024. First, it was Xbox that shared a mysterious photo of Call of Duty 2024, with its title being in a redacted section. We thought it was Black Ops V at first glance, but with the recent teasers and info, the evident answer is Black Ops 6, which is now confirmed by Activision itself and the USA Today newspaper.
From Mount Rushmore to USA Today newspapers, the next Call of Duty instalment ads and teasers are found everywhere. The premise of this 90s set Black Ops game is unknown, but it’s not called Black Ops Gulf War, and its title Black Ops 6 has been fully revealed by Treyarch and Activision.
The USA Today newspaper has released a copy in which you can find some vague political info. However, the elephant in the room is so obvious on the left side, reading the official title of Call of Duty 2024 as Black Ops 6 for the first time. This is clever advertising that sets high bars for Treyarch’s next Call of Duty game, as it works as a warm-up for the full reveal of the game on June 9, 2024.
The novelty here is that the game is in the same theme as Black Ops 1 and Cold War. However, the one thing we can’t quite figure out is the meaning of the Cerberus logo. We know that Cerberus was the project code name of Black Ops 6 from last year, but it seems as though this is more than a secret title.
As seen in the TheTruthLies.com channels, Cerberus logos are on soldiers’ backpacks, meaning that it’s probably a sort of task force. Now, if you take a closer look at the Black Ops 6 leaked keyart above, the man on the cover looks very much like Russel Adler. So with that in mind, is Task Force Cerberus a new group led by Adler for more covert missions set in the 90s? That’s our best guess so far.
