Call of Duty 2024 is the next installment of the Black Ops series, rumored to be titled Black Ops Gulf War. Under the development by Treyarch Studios, the game will focus on the events after the Black Ops Cold War, seemingly lightning the return of our favorite characters from that era. However, a recent Call of Duty 2024 leak has revealed four new names for characters that are about to make their debut in Black Ops Gulf War.
With a Black Ops game set in the 90s, it’s almost impossible not to think of Jason Hudson, Alex Mason, and Frank Woods on the scene. However, if the Black Ops and MW universes are now connected, and Black Ops 2 is considered canon to the story, none of them should be around at this time.
During the Black Ops 2 flashback missions, we get to know what happened to the trio in the late 80s. Raul Menendez seemingly kills Mason, making him disappear for a long run. Woods gets paralyzed by getting shot in both legs. And Jason Hudson suffers a brutal death by Menendez.
So all that remains is Russel Adler; the CIA Special Officer who’s still alive after killing Bell in Black Ops Gulf War. But seemingly, the CIA has new initiatives in the office. Ratcliffe, Marshal, Newman, and Felix are the names of the characters that have been dropped by a recent Call of Duty 2024 leak.
There is no further info on whom these characters are, and how they are connected to the story. These might be subtle code names, or they could just be the new leading CIA agents; nobody knows for now. What’s interesting to know is that who is the main character in Black Ops Gulf War.
Alex Mason could very well be operating in the shadows, carrying forward some of the most impossible missions for that instance. This might reveal how Mason was absent for 30 years and abandoned his son David for a long time. Or, the developers might just scrap the Black Ops 2 plot and write a new one! Which probably isn’t going to be loved by the community.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War is due to release in 2024.
