Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been at the center of attention for a few months now. After getting to learn how The Truth Lies, the game had the biggest launch in Call of Duty history, breaking records for Xbox as well. However, this success is still going strong, as Black Ops 6 is now officially the best-selling game of October 2024.
As reported by Charlie Intel, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is now on top of the October 2024 U.S. best-selling games, standing steps taller than Konami’s return to Silent Hill, and the PlayStation exclusive and The Game Awards’ game of the year nominee, Astro Bot. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has also climbed up the ranks by earning a top 3 position in the best-selling games of 2024 chart in the U.S.
The same #1 spot has also been earned by the latest CoD title on PS and Xbox stores, defeating Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero and Dragon Age: The Veilguard on U.S. sales. Now what’s interesting about these charts is that 82% of Black Ops 6 deals belong to the PlayStation Store, which is a big number in comparison to Steam, Battle.Net, and Xbox. This is directly related to Call of Duty joining Xbox’s Game Pass service this year.
Accordingly, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 sales have been 23% higher than Modern Warfare 3, which wasn’t well received by fans due to its short Campaign and lack of support for the Zombies mode last year. Right now, the only two titles to stop BO6 from becoming the best-selling game in all 2024 is Helldivers II by Arrowhead Games and EA Sports College Football 25. Surprisingly enough, Modern Warfare 3 is standing in the 5th position of this list.
