Turns out even Shadow 0-1 has to play Call of Duty sometimes, and with Black Ops 6, The Replacer is there to replace him as the new Warzone announcer. Call of Duty has done a fantastic job by advertising Black Ops 6 with The Replacer, but this time, it seems like we’re getting an operator bundle for this fan-favorite Black Ops character.
So if you don’t know The Replacer, he is the guy that appears in the Black Ops series ads, taking on your duties so that you can play Call of Duty. Played by the Swedish actor Peter Stormare, The Replacer made his debut back in 2012 with Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 ads. The character has appeared in Black Ops 3 and 4 promotions as well, but while he was absent for Cold War, we have him back for Black Ops 6 in full throttle.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 pre-load started a few hours ago, giving fans a 100+ GB download task to deal with. Now even if you don’t own BO6, this update still affects you as the whole Call of Duty HQ’s UI is undergoing a big change, and well, The Replacer is here in Warzone switching places with Philip Graves in Urzikestan.
If you’ve managed to update the game and get into Warzone Battle Royale, you’d be surprised to see The Replacer taking the mantle of the intro announcer. Here’s what he says:
Ok, let’s get this shit done again.
Now get ready here. You, you get the real parachute, lucky you.
Rules of engagement are simple.
Now, wait wait, why are you leaving me?
Hey! Come back!
I forgot to tell you, whatever you do, don’t…
Now the one important thing about this in-game Warzone debut of The Replacer is that he might be added to the game as an operator bundle for Black Ops 6. The Replacer is one of the fan-favorite characters of the Black Ops series that doesn’t play any role in the story, but as you may know, he’s been featured as an operator in the game before in Black Ops 4, and this may happen again.
