An official teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Vanguard has been released by Activision after a minor leak earlier today. Alongside the new trailer, the publisher announced that more information will be available about the new game later this week.
The trailer for Call of Duty: Vanguard (seen below) shows that the franchise will be returning to a World War II setting. Various scenes of war-torn landscapes display a handful of facial outlines set in the scenery. While no official gameplay was shown, perhaps the different faces hint that players will control more than one character.
At the end, the words “See Them Rise” are displayed before showing off the official logo for Vanguard and the game’s splash art. Then, Activision invited fans to a reveal event titled “Battle of Verdansk”.
The full reveal is set to take place within Call of Duty: Warzone on Thursday, August 19 at 10:30 A PST/1:30 PM EST. Activision extended the following invitation to fans: “Join the Battle of Verdansk and experience the worldwide reveal of Call of Duty: Vanguard.”
The teaser trailer’s release comes mere hours after the reveal for Call of Duty: Vanguard was leaked on the PlayStation Store. After an update on the digital store, fans were delighted to find an ad for the reveal event. Not only did this slip show the reveal date information, but it also confirmed the official title for the new Call of Duty game.
As of this writing, there is no release window set for the next Call of Duty game.
