Do you want to know if Cranidos can be shiny in Pokemon Go? Shiny Pokemon are extremely rare variants that can be encountered in the wild or hatched from eggs. They have unique appearances compared to their regular versions. Most of these shiny versions are found during special events. Shiny Cranidos was released during the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time on July 23, 2021. However, finding one is not an easy task. So, let’s look at if Cranidos can be shiny in Pokemon Go at the moment.

Yes, Shiny Cranidos will be available in the game during the Pokemon GO Adventure Week, which started on July 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. and will conclude on August 2, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time. You can encounter Shiny Cranidos during the event by battling and catching them in the wild during the event. 

Additionally, you can catch other shiny versions of Pokemon, such as Omanyte, Kabuto, Aerodactyl, Lileep, Anorith, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Archen, Tyrunt, and Amaura. Also, Shiny Tyrunt and Shiny Amaura will be encountered for the first time in the game.

In addition, Mega Tyranitar will make its Pokemon GO debut in Mega Raids, while Regidrago will return to five-star raids. There will be event bonuses such as 2× XP for spinning PokéStops, 5× XP for spinning a PokéStop for the first time, and 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators.

What Is Shiny Cranidos in Pokemon Go?

Cranidos is a Rock-type Pokemon native to the Sinnoh region. With a weight of 31.5 kg and a height of 0.9 m, Cranidos is categorized as the “Head Butt Pokemon.” Its regular and shiny forms differ in appearance, with the latter sporting a unique coloring. Regarding combat stats, Shiny Cranidos has an attack of 218, a Defense of 71, and a Stamina of 167 in Pokemon Go.

In terms of type effectiveness, Cranidos is resistant to 62.5% of damage from Fire, Flying, Normal, and Poison types while being weak against Fighting, Grass, Ground, Steel, and Water types. Cranidos can learn a second charged attack at the cost of 75,000 Stardust and 75 Candy. As a member of the Cranidos family, it requires 5 km of buddy distance and Cranidos candy to evolve and upgrade.
