Want to know if Shieldon can be Shiny in Pokemon Go? As players continue to explore the new Routes mechanic and strive to achieve 100% Zygarde form, ancient prehistoric Pokemon have taken over the wild in Pokemon Go. During Adventure Week 2023, you can catch many unique dino pocket monsters, from the rare Tyrunt and Amaura to the popular Aerodactyl and Kabuto. But among other things, you will be able to meet a small but strong Pokemon named Shieldon, and today we will tell you if it can be Shiny in Pokemon Go.

Luckily for fans of rare dinosaurs, Yes, Shieldon could be Shiny in Pokemon Go. Moreover, this Pokemon first received a unique form 2 years ago on July 23, 2021, during Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time. So many players have long received it in their collections. The chance of getting this Pokemon is 1/500 in the wild or about 1/20 if you encounter this Pokemon in a raid gym. But like other dinosaur Pokemon, Shieldon is a rare pocket monster and doesn’t often appear in the wild, in raids, or eggs.

However, while the Adventure Week 2023 event is active, you can catch as many Shieldon as you want. From July 27 to August 2, 2023, you can meet Shieldon and his shiny version in the wild. Stock up on Incense to attract more prehistoric Pokemon, and use the Lure Module if you decide to take a break during your walk. In addition, you can catch it anywhere during Adventure Week, as this Pokemon does not have a preferred habitat.

If you missed this event, stay tuned for new Pokemon Go events. It’s unlikely that Shildon will return anytime soon. But earlier, it visited the Pokemon Go world more as a 1-star raid boss and could hatch from a 2,5,7, and 10-kilometer egg. Most often, Shieldon visits the game as an Egg Pokemon, so keep an eye on the egg spawn pool.

What Does Shiny Shieldon Look Like?

As for the Shiny Shieldon’s appearance, his standard light orange body takes on a bright yellow tint, and the gray carapace on his head changes color to blue. In addition, by evolving into Bastiodon, it retains the same colors in base and shiny forms. However, besides being rare, both color options for this Pokemon are cute.
