Where Winds Meet allows players to live the ultimate Wuxia gaming experience. From fighting bears to throwing geese and even curing other players via a card game. However, there are a few systems that the game lacks, which should be the norm in today’s gaming landscape. With Where Winds Meet offering an MMO-like experience, many wonder if it is possible to create a new character, whether for build purposes, different looks, or just to roleplay as different characters as they travel through these lands.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, it is not possible to create a new character through normal means in Where Winds Meet. This is certainly a bummer, as many players out there might want to change their hero’s appearance without using optional items.

However, that doesn’t mean it is the end, as there is one way to sort of create a new character in Where Winds Meet, but it requires a few steps.

One way to create a new character is to make a throwaway NetEase account and bind that one to your current platform. Then, head to the customer service menu and unbind that account. After that, you just need to restart the game, and you’ll be able to create a new character. This works for both PC and PS5 users at the moment.

The fastest way to create a new character, however, is by making a new NetEase account and a new account on your preferred platform. So, pick the option you prefer to create a new character, at least until NetEase adds the option to make new heroes in-game.

What Are the Benefits of Creating a New Character?

The benefits of making a new character in Where Winds Meet might vary depending on the person. For starters, if you want a different look for your hero or body type, then starting over isn’t a bad idea. However, when it comes to gameplay options, there aren’t a lot of benefits out there.

According to some users on the CN servers, they have the ability to create up to six characters. Yet, nothing transfers between them, so unless you really want to try a different build or look, there aren’t any other big benefits to creating a new hero. Then again, that could change as the game gets more updates.
