Roblox‘s super fun farm-’em-up Grow a Garden continues to go from strength to strength, and is one of the most popular titles on the free-to-play platform. Not only is it great watching your small plot of land grow from a teeny allotment to a fully-fledged jungle, but it’s also incredibly satisfying selling your veggies to the local greengrocer for big bucks. Another fun element is the long list of pets that you can find in the game. One of them, the Cooked Owl pet, is a bit more elusive, however. So, this begs the question: Can you still get the free Cooked Owl pet in Roblox Grow a Garden? With that in mind, here’s what you need to know.

Can You Still Obtain the Cooked Owl Pet Showcase in Grow a Garden?

Unfortunately, unless you already have the Cooked Owl pet in your inventory, then you cannot obtain it anymore from this method, as the window for claiming it is now sadly over. Essentially, the Cooked Owl was a limited-time pet that was offered to everyone who logged into the game when the new “Working Bee” update launched on Saturday, 14 June, 2025 at 11am ET/ 3pm GMT.

This means that if you missed this opportunity, then you’re sadly out of luck, as it’s almost impossible to acquire the Cooked Owl pet right now. However, there is one method that can potentially net you the Cooked Owl.

How to Get the Cooked Owl Pet

There is one other way to obtain the Cooked Owl, but it’s quite tricky and relies wholly on luck. See, in Grow a Garden, you can actually gift items to other players on your server. This means that if you know someone who does have the Cooked Owl, you can potentially trade with them and get it that way. Of course, we’d highly recommend to be very careful when trading with other players, as gifting items is a one-way system, so you’ll need to trust the other person, otherwise you could get scammed. In short, be really cautious when attempting this method.

What Are the Cooked Owl Pet’s Abilities?

The Cooked Owl is a Mythical pet that can do the following:

  • Every 14:15 minutes, 18.13% chance to cook a nearby fruit. Usually Burnt, but occasionally Cooked! All active pets gain an additional 0.34%/sl Also very tasty!

This basically means that it has a chance to imbue nearby plants in your garden with a Burnt or Cooked mutation that can help make your plants way more valuable.
