After the sequel was released, Warzone 1 servers were first temporarily shut down for it to become a standalone title known as Warzone Caldera. As of September 21, 2023, players will be unable to Call of Duty Warzone 1. Sadly, on this date, the servers for the game were officially shut down. For a few months, players could play Warzone Caldera, which was essentially a rebrand of the original Warzone map. Unfortunately, Activision pulled the plug on Warzone Caldera back in September last year.
There is a possibility that the original map will return at some point in the future, though. However, at the time of writing, there is nothing official set in stone.
