The drama between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has Candace Owens slamming Ryan Reynolds as the real villain. The political commentator did not hold back against the actor in a recent episode of her Candace YouTube show. She pushed for his deportation to Canada, imploring Donald Trump to take immediate action.
“This is a way for the left and the right to come together … We can all agree the moral crimes committed by Ryan Reynolds against Justin Baldoni are high treason,” Owens argued. She reiterated that the Deadpool star needed to go, stressing that he and Lively had abused their celebrity status. In her words:
“These Hollywood types think we are stupid… They think they just need a PR machine and the right reporter at the Hollywood Reporter.”
Owens alleged that the WME talent agency had been “essentially threatened or bullied or coerced or extorted” by the couple. Reynolds and Lively, per her claims, abused their power to get the agency to drop Baldoni. ICYMI, the actress accused her It Ends With Us co-star of sexual harassment, a hostile work environment, and more.
Baldoni vehemently denied all allegations of wrongdoing and countersued Lively with a $400 million defamation lawsuit. The Jane The Virgin star also named Reynolds and the actress’s publicist Leslie Sloane as defendants in the case. However, Owens believes the legal drama started because Reynolds is “grossly insecure,” per OK Magazine.
Mixed Reactions Trails Candace Owens’ Take On Ryan Reynolds and the Justin Baldoni Drama
The political commentator’s comments about Reynolds’ part in Lively and Baldoni’s case received mixed reactions on X. Some fans found her input worth noting. In contrast, others wondered why she was so invested in the legal drama. “Candace Owens started her podcast episode saying Ryan Reynolds needs to get deported, and I couldn’t stop laughing,” an X user wrote.
Another echoed similar sentiments, noting, “I don’t like her, but it’s kinda funny.” A third penned their excitement for Owens’ insight, stating she was on “Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds As-!!!!” A fellow supporter applauded the media personality’s investigation into the case, acknowledging her claims about the couple’s takedown scheme.
Meanwhile, critics did not support Owens’ comments, with someone lamenting, “Candace Owens has ruined every Ryan Reynolds movie for me.” Another wondered why she was interested in the case, joking that she investigated like the country’s security was at stake. The adverse reactions continued with an X user stressing that there were more important things to discuss.
Despite the mixed reactions to Owens’ comments, many have begun suspecting Reynolds’ “nice guy” persona was a facade. Last month, We covered that fans had second thoughts about the actor following his former co-star’s bombshell interview. In the resurfaced clip, comedian T.J. Miller recounted his experience with Reynolds on the set of Deadpool 2.
Miller accused Reynolds of being “horrifically mean” to him during a scene, claiming he mixed reality with fiction. “He was like, ‘You know what’s great about you, Weasel? You’re not the star. But you do just enough exposition that it’s funny, and then we can leave and get back to the real movie,” the comedian recalled.
Will Candace Owens get her wish for Ryan Reynolds as the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni drama continues?
