Capcom has announced a Spotlight event that will be taking place next week on February 4 at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM GMT, and it will feature some of the most anticipated games from the Japanese developers. To top it all off, this will be followed by another similar event. The first event has been confirmed to feature Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Street Fighter 6, Capcom Fighting Collection 2, and Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics. But it may also hold some unexpected surprises.

Right after this ends, the second Capcom Spotlight event will start which will show off Monster Hunter Wilds in a full 15-minute presentation hosted by Ryozo Tsujimoto, the producer of the title. This show will have a new trailer, more information on the game, and details about the upcoming open beta test.

Out of the whole bunch, Onimusha: Way of the Sword is the one we have the least amount of information on. It was announced only last month, and the series has been dead for two decades at this point.

Capcom said that it was interested in bringing back some of its long-forgotten franchises by giving them new entries. The remakes of the Resident Evil games are more than enough evidence for that.

Street Fighter 6 fans recently got the Mai Shiranui gameplay trailer, and the only thing that is missing is her release date. Either that will be announced alone, or if we’re lucky, Capcom will also reveal the contents of Season 3 of the game and all the characters that will be coming therein.

Monster Hunter Wilds is expected to come out on February 28, if there are no delays after the open beta. Capcom Fighting Collection 2 does not have a concrete release date yet, and it might be confirmed during the first event.

A passionate gamer and Street Fighter nut, often found with a controller in close proximity. When I'm not playing games, I'm probably writing about them.
