More celebrities are speaking up in response to ICE’s recent actions. Cardi B has spoken out previously, condemning the violence caused by federal agents, making her stance clear. The first stop on her Little Miss Drama tour in Palm Desert once again saw the wrath of the rapper as she addressed her audience and threatened ICE agents.
“[Expletive], if ICE come in here, we gon’ jump they asses. [Expletive], I got some bear mace in the back. They ain’t takin my fans, [expletive]. Let’s go,” she said as the crowd erupted with cheers. This is not the first time Cardi B has defended her fans. In January, she addressed the crowd in a similar way during her Tokyo concert.
“My heart is aching thinking about the people, the children, the families, all over America, who are being mercilessly targeted by ICE. I’m thinking about all of their pain and how their lives are being destroyed right in front of us. I’m also thinking about Minnesota and everyone back at home who is living in so much fear and searching for answers on what we all should do,” she said.
Cardi B’s Fans React
Her raw, heartfelt words resonated not only with her fans but also with many people watching the concert clip. “This is one of the only celebrities I hope doesn’t fall off. She is amazing and truly from nothing. A good heart and soul are evident, and always wishing the best for her,” one Redditor commented on the video. “Cardi has charisma, performs incredibly, looks amazing, and doesn’t have to support Trump to stay relevant,” another says. One fan even called out another rapper who has the opposite views of Cardi B. “In a world of Nicki Minaj’s, be a Cardi B,” they said.
Additionally, a few expressed concern about the statement. “Cardi has always been loud about what she believes in, so this isn’t surprising. It definitely fired up the crowd, but I hope it stays at just talk. Concerts should feel safe, not like they’re about to turn into a standoff,” one user shares.
