We often joke about some states having the worst drivers in the country. Yet the truth is that it’s a nationwide thing. To give you an example, a few careless drivers in Alaska thought they would succeed at parking their humongous truck inside a small spot. Well, as you can imagine, that wasn’t the case. The whole situation looks like it’s straight out of a comedy sketch, and while the clip is relatively short, it is both hilarious and cringeworthy. It also makes us wonder whether young people should really be allowed to drive these expensive, huge vehicles.
As you can see in the 10-second video, which is long enough to make you twitch just by watching this person’s driving skills, one individual is trying to park his huge truck in a tiny spot at a mall in Alaska. However, they fail at doing so because right off the bat, you can see the driver did a terrible job at parking.
For starters, they are attempting to put a huge SUV in a narrow spot between two vehicles. Then, you can see that their angle is wrong, as you can clearly see by the big white vehicle already scratching the black car next to it. However, that’s not all, because the cherry on top, which is what makes the video hilarious, is that, despite hearing the SUV scratching the poor parked vehicle, the ones inside the white car are still trying to make it fit.
Once the driver hears the first scratch, instead of getting out to prevent things from getting worse, they back up even further, while the co-pilot watches. You can listen to some of the bystanders telling them to stop, but the ones in the SUV don’t listen to them.
Since the video is short, we don’t know if they managed to fit the car or just left the spot. Yet we can observe that those inside the vehicle appear to be young people who are clearly inexperienced with a car of this size.
A lot of people were quick to comment on this situation, and, spoiler alert, they weren’t friendly opinions.
“Doesn’t this truck come with like 10 cameras? I know they can’t make you a better driver, but at least maybe stop you from hitting something,” said Mr_lab_rat.
“USA should require owners of these vehicles to obtain a commercial driver’s license, with re-testing on a yearly basis,” commented debtquity.
We have to agree with the above statements. Vehicles aren’t toys, and more often than not, careless drivers affect many people around them. Let’s hope these individuals ended up paying for the other vehicle’s damages and that someone took the SUV away from them because they are dangerous behind the wheel.
