Friday’s episode concluded with the elimination of Jackie Would from RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race 2 and his subsequent unmasking. The identity of the man behind the Jackie Would mask left judge Carson Kressley momentarily stunned upon discovering he was, in fact, an old friend and former co-star.
The two had a brief reunion on set before the eliminated queen proceeded to sashay away for good, taking home his grand reward of $5,000.
Carson Kressley Praised Jackie Would Following Celebrity Drag Race Unveiling
After being declared the week’s losing celebrity, Jackie Would proceeded with the customary revealing, disclosing his identity as “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” star Thom Filicia. Carson soon recognized the man behind the Jackie persona, barely able to hide his surprise.
The longtime “Drag Race” judge Carson Kressley admitted he did not recognize his friend, who co-starred alongside him in Bravo’s Get a Room With Carson & Thom. He was only clued in after the unveiled star began talking. Carson Kressley went on to praise the Jackie impersonator, saying:
“You’re one of my favorite men in the entire world, and now you’re one of my favorite women too.”
The RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race contestant revealed he kept wondering if and when Carson Kressley discovered his identity. The interior designer appreciated the show for allowing him to compete and earn money for his charity, The Bone Marrow Foundation.
Jackie Would Faced-Off Against Donna Bellisima
The last two weeks weren’t so promising for Jackie Would, who barely struggled to hold his own with unimpressive scores. Friday’s episode offered the drag queen a final chance to prove himself fit to continue the race, and he did, putting in his best to snag a higher score.
However, his performance of Britney Spear’s Work Bitch did not cut it for the judges. He ended up towards the bottom again in dire need of a save. The celebrity divulged:
“If there is a mistake, I hope I’m going to have the grace to just incorporate it, gloss over it and move on. I’m going to do the best i can do, have the most fun with it.”
Also finishing at the bottom was fellow secret star Donna Bellisima, who belted out a fun performance of Kim Petra’s I Don’t Want It All. Although the performance was an incredible one, the judges believed the secret star lost the audience along the way by focusing less on “Donna” and more on the props.
Following the night’s showdown, Chakra 7 and Chic-Li-Fay finished at the top, leaving Jackie and Donna at the bottom. The two low scorers faced off against each other in the Lip Sync For Your Life showdown to Gwen Guthrie’s Aint Nothing Goin’ on but the Rent. Donna’s flawless rendition of the song earned the celebrity another week on the show, whereas Jackie had to deal with elimination.
