As someone who has worked in retail for nearly ten years, I have always encountered stories or situations I could only ignore. Sometimes, it isn’t worth making a huge deal out of something that just happens to be so far out of your reach. Well, that’s what happened to a CVS employee in Baltimore, Maryland, who watched what appears to be the most casual heist of all time. Honestly, it almost didn’t even seem like the CVS pharmacy was being robbed until I got a better look at what was actually happening. If I were the employee who recorded everything, I probably would have been acting just as calmly because of how odd it was to watch everything unfold.
The above video was posted to the TikTok account, @survivingcvs, which, despite the handle’s name, isn’t a page about all the strange things going on in the Maryland pharmacy. Instead, it’s a page of content recorded by a single man named Jah-Rahd, who had previously worked for the company. It seems that all the videos are about his personal experiences with different levels of customers he interacts with.
This video doesn’t appear to be much different, as he records a woman wearing a scarf as a face covering while she takes items from the household cleaning section. What’s really interesting is that I didn’t even clock her as stealing so much as just putting the things she meant to purchase into a reusable bag.
It wasn’t until she started struggling to take things that I realized what she was doing. Unfortunately for Jah-Rahd, this seems to be something he sees frequently at the store. It also looked like this particular woman might have some experience with this, especially given how fast she was going.

Commenters were quick to jump in, condemning the woman for stealing and poking fun at the situation. One of the top comments even said, “Like why would you bother her while she’s trying to work,” referring to the woman’s attitude when approached.
Other people were focused on what she was saying, making fun of her priorities and saying, “😭😭she basically saying u taking yo job too seriously lmaooooo😭😭😭😭” According to the post, it seems that Jah-Rahd no longer works there, and is no longer subject to this kind of behavior at work.
