Celeste O’Connor has joined the star-studded cast of Zach Braff’s upcoming MGM movie A Good Person. The film follows a young woman named Allison (played by Florence Pugh). Her life falls to pieces after her involvement in a fatal accident. Her father-in-law (played by Morgan Freeman) helps her pick up the pieces. O’Connor will play Ryan, whose story overlaps with Allison’s. Ryan’s life as a high school athlete is turned upside down from the same accident. It has already started filming this fall. MGM will be distributing Braff’s A Good Person, in North America, and some international markets: Latin America, Scandinavia, Russia, Eastern Europe, China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, India, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Celeste O’Connor will be joining a critically acclaimed cast: Florence Pugh, Molly Shannon, and Morgan Freeman.
Zach Braff directs and wrote the script of . This will be the second picture he will have worked with Morgan Freeman, the first being Going in Style. A Good Person is Braff’s second time working with MGM’s Film Group President Pamela Abdy. The production company helped produce his directorial debut Garden State. Critics look forward to the Emmy-nominated actor-director’s movie.
Celeste O’Connor’s Work Before Starring in A Good Person
O’Connor already has an impressive filmography starring in such works as Freaky, Selah and the Spades, and Wetlands. The projects keep rolling in for the young performer. She will be in Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Paramount’s The In Between. O’Connor may have a supporting role in Braff’s A Good Person, but it doesn’t mean she won’t shine bright. Her role in Selah and the Spades gained praise. With all the new roles coming her way, she’ll be able to further prove her acting chops. She’ll definitely be in great company with veterans Morgan Freeman and Molly Shannon.
