A chaotic scene recently broke out inside a Reno, Nevada bar after an elderly woman — who appeared to be intoxicated — began verbally harassing a group of teens enjoying a night out, ultimately prompting police to escort her from the premises. Although the cause of her outburst remains unclear, the video is quickly gaining traction online.
In the clip, the blonde woman in question is wearing a grey beanie hat, a black top, and a black cardigan, and is pointing at a group of youths sat at a table in the Reno bar. She can be heard shouting, “[Expletive] You’re all robots! And you think you’re gonna get away with it? [Expletive] you! [Expletive] you! [Expletive] you! All this! Yeah, put it on [expletive] Instagram! You little [expletive]!” As she continues to harass the group of teens, a few of them can be heard awkwardly laughing at her inappropriate outburst.
After briefly walking away, she circles back to the teens to continue her rant. Her speech is noticeably slurred and she’s finding it hard to balance, a telltale sign of intoxication. Holding up her phone, she shouts, “Yeah, put me on there! Put me on!” almost as if she’s craving the attention that comes with going viral.
Moments later, the clip jumps to the arrival of two Reno police officers called to handle the disturbance. The woman appears unwilling to follow their instructions as the officers try to calm her and defuse the situation. As one officer attempts to hold her arm, she says to them, “No! No! Don’t talk to me!” though the officers do manage to slowly escort her off the premises, ending the footage.
As the clip continues to circulate online, many social media users have criticized the woman’s outburst. Over on Reddit, one user joked, “Reno 911” while another chipped in with, “She needed to go home to some delicious, piping hot arbies.”
A third commenter replied to this, writing, “You say that, but this a regular occurrences for bars everywhere. Just like this. Maybe I was overly patient back in the day, but when I called the cops it was broken glass, thrown chairs and what not. But this is typical Friday [expletive] here.” A fourth netizen chimed in, penning, “She’s going to wake up from this blackout and look at her phone and there will be a video of her filming all these people laughing at her.”
At this time, it’s unclear whether the woman faced any charges for her behavior.
