It’s finally time for the MTV VMAs again, and along with it, loads of interesting and unique looks. One look in particular that’s turning heads is that of Chappell Roan. She arrived wearing a medieval-style look featuring an entire sword that has people asking “Is bringing weapons to a high class event even legal?”
Knowing Chappell Roan‘s style in general, there’s no doubt her look was going to be unique. This look, however, is giving off strong “Witcher” vibes, and it seems like everyone’s here for it.
Chappell Roan Rocks A Medieval Look
Chappell Roan walked into the VMAs and made a heck of an entrance. After telling off some paparazzi, she posed on the red carpet, showing off her gorgeous look. She rocked a floor-length sheer gown with a low neckline. She paired the gown with a cross necklace, dainty chainmail “gauntlets,” and intricate claw-like nails. She wore her hair up so you could see her earrings, and neutral-toned eye makeup.
Chappell Roan claimed her green, puff-sleeved robe was over 300 years old, and as she arrived, a rug was rolled out beneath her that was twice the age, at 600 years old. She says that she rented them and she won’t lose them because they’re “The most expensive” things she will ever own.
To throw the look together and really give off that “Henry Cavill-Witcher” vibe, Chappell wore a pair of thigh-high metal boots and carried a sword as an accessory. Whether you think her look is giving “Geralt of Rivia” or “Joan of Arc,” she absolutely pulls it off in the most stunning way. Some even have their own ideas about what kind of look she’s going for, like an X/Twitter user who comments, “vampire roan.”
Everyone’s certainly got their own ideas on X about how they think Chappell Roan looks this evening, and it all seems to be positive. “I have a new girl crush,” one user says.
